Last chance saloon for age-groupers at Anglian Water Duathlon

Published:

Sprint duathletes will flock to Cambridgeshire this weekend in a bid to grab the final spaces on the Great Britain Age-Group Team for the 2016 ETU Sprint Distance Duathlon European Championships.

NiceTri events have organised the event which will see some of the top age-group talent battle it out around Grafton Lake and through surrounding woodland in an attempt to secure victory.

Both 5km run sections take place on hard compound tracks and feature steady climbs at the outset, meaning a downhill sprint to the first transition and the finishing line. The 20km bike course takes place on very smooth road surfaces, providing the perfect opportunity for sprinters to test their speed and get ahead. The hill climbing will also allow competitors to see what strength they have in their legs.

NiceTri events said; “What we can predict about the Anglian Water Duathlon is a competitive and highly professional event at a stunning venue. What we can’t predict is the weather, so keep an eye on the forecasts and we’ll look forward to welcoming you on race day!”

Clumber Park Duathlon and Vale of Glamorgan Duathlon provided the further two opportunities to qualify for the 2016 Championships.  For more information on competing for the Great Britain Age-Group Team, please visit here.
