Regional Head Coach for the Yorkshire and Humberside Region

Triathlon England Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Committee are looking to appoint a Regional Head Coach as soon as possible, who will be able to lead our existing Regional Academy and continue the development of our talented youngsters towards elite levels.

The key responsibilities are to deliver an Academy that combines individual development of talented youngsters and high quality group triathlon coaching experiences, within a framework and budget set by Triathlon England’s National Development Strategy and Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Committee additional guidelines.

The Head Coach and the Regional Committee will encourage recruitment of additional volunteer coaching and provide opportunities, where necessary, for continuous professional development (CPD) for the whole coaching team. This joint approach is to assist the Y & H R Committee, the Academy’s Head Coach and Regional Coaches in their progress, and encourage an environment that focuses on developing sustained success and pride in the regional athlete’s achievements.

The Head Coach will liaise with and report to the Y & H Regional Committee and where appropriate work with Triathlon England’s staff, to combine resources and establish contacts with sponsors and local organisations to develop better support for the Academy. This position currently has an allocated budget of £4,600, which we are looking to expand as soon as resources permit.

The Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Committee is also looking for L1, L2 and occasionally L3 coaches to assist on a volunteer basis with whoever is appointed as Head Coach. If you would like to expand your coaching skills and would like the opportunity to work with enthusiastic and talented youngsters on an occasional basis, we would like to hear from you.
