Calling all Race Directors - The Eastern Region are looking for nominations for the regional championship and league events in 2012.
For 2012 we are looking for the following:-
Children
Ø A single championship event for Tristars and Youths. This event will not form part of the Regional League.
Ø A single championship event for Juniors (17-19). This should be a sprint distance race, ideally but not exclusively an open water event.
Ø Nominations for the Tristar and Youth League. We will accept nominations for duathlons and aquathlons on top of triathlons although we expect to only include one or two of each.
Ø Two or more races that could be qualifiers for the Inter-regional championships (can also be regional championship or league event).
To qualify:
Ø Bids must be received by 7 January (sent to Richard Fuller – contact)
Ø The event must be sanctioned by the BTF and work to BTF regulations including:-
o Maximum distances not to exceed BTF rules
o Age groups based on BTF age groups (age taken as at 31/12/2012)
o Ban on tri bars for off road bike legs
Ø The results must be published in table format (XLS, HTM, CSV but specifically not PDF) and must include name, gender, age group, finish time and club name.
Adults
Ø A single Sprint championship event; ideally an open water event but this is not a mandatory requirement.
Ø A single Olympic championship event.
Ø A single Duathlon championship event.
Ø A single Aquathlon championship event.
Ø Nominations for league events. These can be sprint or Olympic distance triathlons; we are looking at a minimum of 10 and maximum of 12 events with the best 5 results counting for the individual within the league
To qualify:
Ø The event must be sanctioned by the BTF and work to BTF regulations.
Ø The event must be an open event available to all
Ø It must be a non-drafting event
Ø It must not be already listed as a national event.
Ø The results must be published in table format (XLS, HTM, CSV but specifically not PDF) and must include name, gender, age group, finish time and club name.
