The dates for the Talent trials for the East are provisionally booked for 19/20 September

...however, if this weekend is not available the weekend before will be used in its place.

Some notes from our Regional Head Coach, Tim Williams:-

• Entry to the England Talent Squad is via Regional Academies and, though involvement in the regional programme is neither a pre-requisite or a condition, it's highly unlikely that anyone would be considered, let alone selected, without a number of podium finishes in national standard races.
• The minimum trial standard for ETA consideration is Gold.  Furthermore, the ETA is focusing primarily on Juniors with a few years of draft-legal racing experience rather than Youths.
• The basic trial requirement for the Regional Academy consideration is Silver.  However the selection criteria include factors like triathlon racing experience and home training environment. 
• Finally the door never closes.  Anyone who misses out this time round is still eligible until they are seniors (i.e. too old for a junior programme), and the superseries races, selection races and national teams are not restricted to programme athletes
