Event Summary:

A triathlon event for athletes age 8 to 16 (age at 31 December 2019), enjoying the fantastic tarmac cycle track, indoor swimming pool and running trail at York Sport Village. The event is held under British Triathlon Competition Rules and is part of the Yorkshire Junior Race Series

Race distances as follows:-

• TriStar Start - aged 8 - 50m swim, 1km bike and 600m run.
• TriStar 1 - aged 9-10 - 150m swim, 3km bike and 1.2km run.
• TriStar 2 - aged 11-12 - 200m swim, 6km bike and 1.8km run.
• TriStar 3 - aged 13-14 - 300m swim, 8km bike and 2.4k run.
• Youth - aged 15-16 - 400m swim,10km bike and 3k run.

Event information packs will be emailed before the event. There will be trophies for the first three boys & girls in each category.  

British Triathlon Membership 

You DON'T have to be a British Triathlon member to enter this event! Membership is for those who want to appear in the regional series rankings or qualify for the Yorkshire Inter Regional Championship (IRC) team, in which case each athlete must have their own British Triathlon Membership.

If you only want to race a few races or just dip your toe into triathlon, then you can still enter individual races by purchasing a day membership.  For full membership when entering races, choose the entry option for British Triathlon/Home Nation Members and use your membership number. You will then get a discounted entry fee and be automatically entered into the Yorkshire Junior Race Series. 

To make this event possible relies on a large number of volunteers. If you're able to help on the day it would be great if you could sign up. If you want to watch your child or children taking part, we'll sort that nearer the time by swapping who is doing what at the various times. Entries will close at midnight on Sun 16th June. Unfortunately no refunds will be issued after that time for those withdrawing.
