If you haven't been to the Olympic Park yet, these events the perfect excuse.
Triathlon England have once again teamed up with local triathlon clubs to put on duathlon events at the superb VeloPark road circuit in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2015. There are childrens events, adults events and women only events, so there's something for everyone.
The purpose build road circuit is in the shadow of the Olympic velodrome and is a mile in length. a safe place to enjoy your first duathlon. The course has fantastic views across the Olympic Park and with some slight undulations and sweeping curves provides a challenge for those more experienced duathletes and triathletes.
If you have difficulty getting your bike to the venue you can hire road bikes form the Velopark.
The events programme goes all throught the year, with the Christmas Cracker (13th December) andThe Shortest Day (20th December) events rounding off the 2015 races. The next event is on 24th May and is the DragonSlayer
The races are chip timed and great value for money. The events are run with the aim to breakeven on costs over the year.
