The London region AGM took place last week (16 October) with more people taking part than ever before.
A presentation by Mark Barfield, Director of Triathlon England, sparked a productive debate and a number of issues were highlighted specific to the London region, such as swimming pool access and indoor cycle coaching.
Mark said: "It was a good opportunity to connect with Triathlon England's London membership and great to see the strong level of support for triathlon in the region. It was great to have Q&A with members and get their direct input and feedback."
Formal business took place during the evening and the new committee members were elected, as follows:
Chair | Tom Chant |
Vice Chair | Chris Skinner |
ROC | Peter Lambert |
Senior League Coordinator | Alan Spelling |
Treasurer | Ian King |
Secretary | Andrzej Warhaftig |
Coaching Coordinator | Audrey Livingstone |
Junior Series Coordinator | Jim Desmond |
Media Officer | Toby Smithson |

Para-tri Development Officer | Dave Clyne |
Tom Chant, elected as chair for the second year, said: "I was delighted to see so many turn-out on the evening – it shows that the committee has been active and engaged the wider London region with their activities over the last year. I am very grateful to the committee for doing that work and re-engaging for the following year."
The next committee meeting to be confirmed.
