Triathletes feel the hot breath of the Dragon

Published:

The heat was turned right up to 27 degrees on 8th May when East London Triathletes hosted their Annual Dragon Slayer duathlon at the Lee Valley VeloPark.

The Dragon Slayer duathon event formed part of the Yellow Jersey 2016 London League and attracted 128 duathletes to the VeloPark road circuit under the wing of the magnificent 2012 velodrome. The competitors were spread over two waves, with the first wave being predominately made up clubs in London League and so the racing was as hot and the weather.

The fast and technical course and the conditions prooved to be a good test for everyone with many fantastic performances across both waves.

Crystal Palace Triathletes dominated the podiums with Serpentine RC hot on their heels.
