This is the London Region summary of Triathlon news, views and events.

NEWS
The date for this year's Capital Tri Splash & Dash Aquathlon (which is a London League event) has changed - it will now be held on Sunday 17th August.
 
Entries are now open for the Willesden Triathlon Club's Aquathlon taking place on 27th April. For more details see the full story on the Triathlon London website HERE.
 
Entries are also now open for London Fields Tri Club's Aquathlons, the first on 30th March and the second on 5th October. The latter is a London League event. For entry details see this page for the March event and this page for the October event.  
 
Also on the 30th March is the Hillingdon Family Duathlon, with childrens and adult races.To enter this event visit the Hillingdon Triathletes website  HERE
 
COURSES
There are two Officials courses coming up in the next month.
Local Technical Official (LTO) is on 8th March at Crystal Palace 
Regional Technical Official (RTO) is on 6th April at Crystal Palace

EVENTS
28 February to 2 March - Triathlon Show (Sandown Park Racecourse) If you are a TE member you will have recieved an email with promocode for discounted tickets, check your in box.
 
 
 
 
 
And don't forget your local parkrun - every Saturday morning at 9am. There are now 42 to choose from in Greater London alone!

IN OTHER NEWS
London is to host the first event in a new women's-only triathlon series coming to the UK this summer. Triathlon Pink, which was launched in Australia in 2006, will be putting on five races in Britain later this year, with the first of them at Crystal Palace on 1st June. On the subject of Crystal Palace, well done to Alex Yee of Crystal Palace Triathletes (where he is coached by Jon Horsman,) and Kent AC who won last Saturday's Dulwich parkrun in a remarkable 15:29. Alex, who is a member of the Triathlon London Academy and only turned 16 this week!
 
Well done to all at Hillingdon Triathletes who were voted 'Club of the Year' at the recent Hillingdon Mayor's Awards for Sporting Achievement!
 
The new South East Women's Time Trial Series (SEWTTS) has proved so popular that organisers have increased its capacity by 20 riders and also added an additional event. More details on the series website HERE.
