Create a ‘selfie’ triathlon video and feature on the BBC

Published:

The BBC is offering triathletes the opportunity to feature on the opening titles of all of their 2014 productions of the ITU World Triathlon Series. All you need to do is submit High Definition video footage of yourself, and or your teammates training or competing.

The BBC plans to produce a video montage of your winter training and competition as part of the opening sequence of their ITU World Triathlon Series footage, starting with the first round in Auckland, 5-6 April. All you need to do is submit video footage by 18 March – this is surely the ultimate ‘selfie’ where you can film yourself and get on national television!

Footage can be of training or competition and can be feature you or your friends and clubmates. The footage needs to show the hard work that goes into being a triathlete, so footage from the turbo, the bike, the pool, track or lonely frosty field is exactly what the BBC would like, as well as footage from any early season races.

The film can come from any sort of HD camera, including a GoPro, smart phone or hand held camera. Each video should be no more than one minute and be filmed in landscape format.

Please submit your video to sarah.richardson@bbc.co.uk along with your full contact details. Videos must be your own footage with no rights restrictions and the best ones will be selected to feature on the programme.
