The Bedfordshire Triathlon (incorporating the Beds and Bucks Champs) The Bedfordshire Triathlon will be organised by ActiveTrainingWorld and the event will be held on 24th July 2016. There will be sprint and standard distance triathlon races. Anyone can enter this triathlon race, however, the following clubs are invited to compete in the Beds and Bucks Club Championships: Beds: Ampthill, Bedford Harriers AC, Bedfordshire Road Cycling Club, Boxfit, Leighton Buzzard Triathlon, Putteridge Swim Club, Stopsley Striders Bucks: Bearbrook Triathlon Club, Chiltern Tri, Evolution Tri (EVO TRI), GreenlightPT, Jo's Tri Team, Stoke Mandeville Tri Club, Team Milton Keynes
BoxEnd (MK43 8RQ) is a fantastic venue for a triathlon as it boasts a clean lake, changing facilities and toilets. The country roads surrounding the lake are very quiet and there is also 5km grass track that surrounds the lake!
So what do you need to know?
The race will take place on July 24th and will form an inter club competition between Beds and Bucks tri clubs
Your club will need a minimum of 4 competitors to qualify for the club championships - 2 male and 2 female. People compete against the other club members within their age groups. So if you have 4 different age group winners then you will score maximum points. If two clubs are tied on points then it rolls down to the 5th athlete and so on
There will be a separate wave for the club competition
There will be a special voucher code for clubs members entering. This will make it just £40 for an open water triathlon.
There will be a massive trophy for the winners!
Competitors can also compete to be the Beds and Bucks Champion within their age group as well
