The South West Region announces that Swanage Triathlon festival will host the standard distance championships
The Swanage Triathlon Festival is set in the seaside town of Swanage which resides in an area of outstanding beauty know as The Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. The first triathlon hosted here was by ourselves way back in 1986. The Transition area overlooks Swanage Bay with amazing views across the Purbecks towards Old Harry Rocks, the eastern gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The event is known for the stunning views from the bike course. A mix of steady climbs with some of the steepest descents in Dorset make for a thrilling event. This year the old run course up Ballard Down towards Old Harry Rocks makes a comeback. The standard event will be hosting the Triathlon England South West Championships.
