British Triathlon Gold Pin Awards celebrated at Swansea dinner

Published:

16 British Triathlon Gold Pin Awards were given out at a dinner held as part of this weekend’s World Triathlon Para Series Swansea.

Two further awards were also presented on the evening – the Dame Sarah Springman award recognising outstanding contribution towards sustainability goals and the Joe Garner Award for championing inclusion across triathlon. Those unable to attend will receive their awards in the coming months.

Awards went to former Olympians, Technical Officials, volunteers, and champions of triathlon representing all facets of the sport – from grassroots, through Age-Group, to Championships and Olympics – and in the presence of Para-sport legend, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.

The British Triathlon Gold Pin Awards were an annual fixture until 2020 when Covid hit. This event, hosted by ultrarunner and presenter Lowri Morgan, celebrates four years’ worth of winners as well as introducing the Dame Sarah Springman and Joe Garner Awards.
