Director of Governance 

Alun Thomas QPM, MPA is an ex Police Assistant Chief Constable who served in Wales and London. He was the divisional commander of Cardiff and also Commanded the Nato Summit at Celtic Manor 2014. More recently, from 2017-2023 he was the Chief of Staff and National Security Advisor to the Qatari Government for the FIFA Football World Cup 2022. Alun hopes his governance experience in public service and event management can add value to Welsh Triathlon.

He did his first triathlon in 1989 and still races hard on a regular basis.
