British paratriathletes head to Canada for World Triathlon Para Series Montreal

World Triathlon Para Series Montreal marks the final chance for paratriathletes to secure ranking points for this summer’s Paralympic Games, with five Brits on the start line across four categories.

In the women’s PTVI race, Alison Peasgood guided by Brook Gillies, looks to add to the bronze medal she won at World Triathlon Para Series Swansea just last weekend. Montreal marks the duo’s fourth race of the year, with the previous three resulting in a trip to the podium.

Joining them on the start line is fellow Swansea medallist, Megan Richter, who is racing in the women’s PTS4 category. She picked up an impressive silver medal behind teammate Hannah Moore in South Wales, meaning she has four medals from as many races in 2024. Her best result came at World Triathlon Para Cup Yenisehir where she claimed gold by over three minutes.

In the men’s PTS4 race Finley Jakes looks to improve on his eighth place finish a week ago. Prior to World Triathlon Para Series Swansea, he had finished on the podium at seven races in a row, including a bronze medal at World Triathlon Para Series Devonport back in March.

Henry Urand is back in action in the men’s PTS3 race after missing World Triathlon Para Series Swansea. He heads to Montreal following two silver medals at World Triathlon Para Cup Yenisehir and World Triathlon Para Series Devonport to kick start his 2024 campaign.

Josh Landmann makes it a quintet of Brits on the start line in Montreal as he races in the men’s PTWC category. Sixth in Swansea last weekend, Landmann boasts a silver medal at World Triathlon Para Cup Yenisehir as well as a gold at World Triathlon Para Cup Samarkand already in 2024.
