By being a British Triathlon member, you’re eligible to win medals at your respective Home Nation’s Championship and British Championship races as well as qualifying for the British Triathlon Age-Group Team.

British Triathlon Membership

Northumberland Festival of Sport, Northumberland, England, 2 June 

Druridge Bay Country Park, Northumberland, kicks off June’s event as it plays host to an Age-Group Team qualifier for next year’s World Triathlon Standard Distance Aquabike Championships.  

Those taking part in the race will complete a two-lap 1.5km swim in the freshwater Ladyburn Lake within the park grounds, before the 38km bike leg takes in the park and its coastal views. 

 For those not wanting to qualify for the British Age-Group Team, the event is also hosting sprint and standard distance triathlons, a sprint aquabike, and sprint and standard distance aquathlons. There are also triathlon events for children aged 8-14.

Ullswater Epicman Triathlon, Cumbria, England, 2 June 

The first Triathlon England Championship of the season is happening in Cumbria as Ullswater Epicman Triathlon hosts the Triathlon England Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships.  

A 750m swim kicks things off before a 24km bike course around the Cumbria countryside.  The shores of Ullswater are the back-drop for the final part of the race, with a 5km run taking you across the finish line to potentially become English Champion.  

To become English Champion, you must have a valid Triathlon England Core or Ultimate membership. Click below to become a Triathlon England member.  

There are also standard distance and middle distance triathlons taking place at the event for those looking for a longer race.

Challenge Wales, Goodwick, Wales, 9 June  

The Welsh Triathlon Middle Distance Triathlon Championships takes place at Goodwick, with Welsh Triathlon members having the opportunity to become Welsh Middle Distance Champion.  

The swim takes place in Fishguard Bay in the sheltered harbour over 1.9km. The two-lap, 90km bike leg starts off uphill before a fast descent into the UK’s smallest city, St Davids. Off the back of that, the finish line awaits at the end of a four-lap run over 21.2km around the bay.

Royal Windsor Triathlon, Windsor, England, 9 June 

It's a royal welcome for anyone looking to qualify for the 2025 World Triathlon Sprint Distance Triathlon Championship, as Royal Windsor Triathlon hosts an Age-Group Team qualifier.  

The race starts with a 750m swim in the Thames. The 22km bike leg takes you on the historic streets of Windsor before heading around the surrounding countryside.  

The iconic Windsor Castle then provides the backdrop for the 5km run which incorporates the Long Walk, enabling participants to run on royal grounds. The event also hosts a standard distance triathlon for those looking for a longer race.

Eastbourne Triathlon, Eastbourne, England, 16 June  

The Downs Coast plays host to the Eastbourne Triathlon Festival, with the standard distance triathlon race doubling up as a 2025 World Triathlon Championship Age-Group Team qualifier. 

The race starts with a 1500m sea swim, using the Eastbourne Pier as the setting. The coast continues to offer a scenic route on the 36.6km bike leg as you race through South Downs National Park before taking on the 10km run along the seafront promenade.  

It’s not just an event for those wanting to represent their country though. There’s something for everyone as the event plays hosts to a number of different distances and race types, including aquathlon, duathlons and children’s TriStar racing.

Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon, Chesire, England, 22-23 June, 

It's a double-header at Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon as it hosts both the British Mixed Team Relay Championships and an Age-Group Team qualifier for the 2025 World Triathlon Standard Distance Duathlon Championship.  

Taking place on Saturday 22 June, teams of four (two open competitors and two female competitors) race over a 250m swim, 5km bike and a 1.5km run leg to be crowned the first ever British Mixed Team Relay Champions.  

The following day it’s the turn of Age-Group Team hopefuls in the Standard Distance Duathlon. Racing for the chance to qualify for the 2025 World Triathlon Duathlon Championships, participants will race over a 10km and 5km run either side of a 42km bike leg.

The Dambuster Triathlon, Leicestershire, England, 23 June 

Rutland Water hosts the Dambuster Triathlon, which doubles up as a 2025 Europe Triathlon Championship Standard Distance Triathlon Age-Group Team qualifier.  

Starting in the sheltered Whitwell Creek, the 1500m swim kicks things off before the 40km closed road bike leg sees you head out into the Rutland countryside with woodland avenues offering a scenic back drop.  

The views continue on the 10km run,taking participants out to the Dam before heading to Rutland’s most famous landmark, Normanton Church. The course can be enjoyed in a shorter race as the event also offers a sprint distance triathlon.

The Cardiff Triathlon and Duathlon, Cardiff, Wales, 30 June 

Offering the chance to race in a major UK City, the Cardiff Triathlon and Duathlon hosts a 2025 World Triathlon Championship Sprint Distance Triathlon Age-Group Team Qualifier.  

The race starts with a 750m swim in the fresh-water Cardiff Bay. Participants then take in the sights that Cardiff has to offer with the Wales Millenium Centre providing the backdrop for the 18.5km bike section.   

The action returns to Cardiff Bay for the 4.7km run with the Norwegian Church, Pierhead Building and the Senedd Building lining the route to the finish line. The event has something for everyone with it including super-sprint, standard and middle distance triathlons.

Windermere Duathlon, Lake District, England, June 30  

We’re back to run, bike, run as Windermere Duathlon hosts an Age-Group Team qualifier for the 2025 Europe Triathlon Standard Distance Duathlon Championships.  

The first run leg takes participants on 10km of paths and trails around Cockshott Point overlooking the lake. The 48km bike leg moves out to Ambleside and continues around the whole of lake Windermere allowing for some spectacular views as you race. The final part of the race sees participants back on the paths and trails for a 5km run across the finish line.
