Brits win five medals across Europe
Sam Dickinson secured his first win of the season with victory at Europe Triathlon Cup Kielce with Jonny Brownlee finishing third in Poland. Challenge Salou was the site for three medals for British triathletes as Rachel Brown and Natalie Lawrence finished second and third respectively in the women’s race, while Thomas Davis won a bronze medal in the men’s race.

Alex Yee out sprinted Kiwi rival Hayden Wilde to take a third win at World Triathlon Championship Series Cagliari with Hungary’s Csongor Lehmann joining them on the podium. Hugo Milner ran his way through the field to finish 13th with Barclay Izzard coming 32nd. Both Sam Dickinson and Max Stapley dropped out on the run and bike respectively.

Beth Potter kick started her world title defence won a bronze medal at World Triathlon Championship Series Cagliari, as she out sprinted France’s Emma Lombardi to finish behind France’s Cassandre Beaugrand (first) and Germany’s Lisa Tertsch (second). Fellow Brit Georgia Taylor-Brown was sixth as she beat Sophie Coldwell, seventh, to the line. Kate Waugh was the fourth Brit in the top-ten as she crossed the line in tenth, while Sian Rainsley, who was a late addition to the start list, finished 20th.
