Golden day for British triathletes in Lausanne
It was a good day for British triathletes in Lausanne as George Peasgood and Andy Lewis won paratriathlon gold and Jonathan Brownlee won silver behind Norway’s Gustav Iden. Nicola Spirig (SUI) made it two golds in two weekends with a win in front of her home crowd.

This is his final race before going to the ITU Grand Final on the Gold Coast. Andy Lewis and George Peasgood take on the Paratriathlon World Cup, also in Lausanne, and there’s and IRONMAN and Welsh Championship taking place too.

British Triathlon has named a squad of 34 elite athletes for the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final on the Gold Coast next month. The squad includes senior, under 23, and junior athletes as well as paratriathletes. They return to the same course that hosted the Commonwealth Games at the start of the season in April.

The combined sport format of the Championships has been a huge success, with the Age Group team rising to the occasion with 67 medals, and world champions, France, putting on another classy Mixed Relay performance to win gold.
